Description
The PDS™ Plus Antibacterial Clear Monofilament Suture, Size 2-0, 27", CT-1 Needle, is a sterile, synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of polydioxanone and coated with the antibacterial agent triclosan (Irgacare® MP). This antibacterial coating actively inhibits bacterial colonization on the suture, reducing the risk of surgical site infections, particularly from Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis.
The CT-1 taper point needle is designed for atraumatic passage through soft tissue. With its 1/2 circle curvature and smooth stainless steel surface, it offers high precision and reduced tissue drag, making it suitable for general closure, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, and urologic surgeries.
